Describe the impact the Winslow Participant’s Report has had on you so far. | It was a little discouraging, actually. I felt that in a few areas, it missed the mark in terms of accuracy, and in doing so paints my abilities in a less-than favorable light. I am trying to keep an open mind, though, and am happy to put effort into getting the most out of this report. |
TRAITS THAT INFLUENCE MY MOST PRODUCTIVE BEHAVIORS
(3) Winslow traits contibuting to thier success. | Select up to three (3) Winslow traits in your Participant's Report that are contributing the most to your personal and/or professional success. |
Trait #1 | Trust |
My Score | 6 |
Why? | In my role, I have to work closely with many different people in and around our dealership. It's important to have a mutual respect and understanding of each other and our motivations. Having a good sense of trust helps foster those relationships to achieve our goals. |
Trait #2 | Flexibility |
My Score | 8 |
Why? | Change is inevitable and has been very frequent in my roles at the GMG. It's important to be able to adapt quickly to maintain momentum, not only in productivity, but to set a positive example for the rest of the team. It is also good to be open to new ideas and methods that can improve processes. I am always open to new ways of doing things, new experiences, and having variety in any given day. As Marketing Director, every day is totally different and I enjoy the diversity. |
Trait #3 | Coachability |
My Score | 7 |
Why? | As Marketing Director, having the dealership's best interests and best image is always at the forefront of my mind. It's important to relay messages accurately from management and owners to best reflect our values. This is also true for our manufacturers, which impart strict guidelines on what we can and cannot say, in terms of advertising. These guidelines have to be learned and accepted in order to successfully do the job. |
TRAITS THAT ARE PREVENTING MY PRODUCTIVE BEHAVIORS
(3) Winslow traits restraining them from achieving success. | Select up to three (3) Winslow traits in your Participant's Report that seem to be restraining you the most from achieving personal or professional success. |
Trait #1 | Self-confidence |
My Score | 4 |
Why? | Sometimes I doubt my abilities and have difficulty expressing myself, particularly in situations that are unexpected or high-pressure. It causes me to over-think decisions and ultimately slows progress. |
Trait #2 | Assertiveness |
My Score | 3 |
Why? | This is likely a direct result of the low self-confidence. My tendency to be more passive leads to either waiting for others to make a decision or not speaking up if I have an idea or opinion that could be beneficial. |
Trait #3 | Boldness |
My Score | 4 |
Why? | Socially, I have no problem initiating activities or taking risks (within reason - sky diving is a big no tank you). But professionally, I am much more reserved. Speaking to new customers, new vendors, PM's, etc, is fine but the thought of speaking publicly is uncomfortable. In my role, this isn't required but having the confidence to do so would be helpful in many other areas. This also prevents me from sharing opinions or asking questions in certain large group settings. |
Profile Review Goals | It would be good to understand how the different traits relate and affect one another to best identify underlying issues. Low self-confidence is an obvious culprit for me but I'm interested in the other traits and how they interact. Having a complete understanding will help set realistic expectations for myself so I can set goals, which are almost non-existent. |
