Describe the impact the Winslow Participant’s Report has had on you so far. | It is affirming to see that certain traits like Structure and Order are integral to my thought processes. I can tell you that when these things are absent in my life I lose direction and motivation. Lacking Ambition as a Dedication Trait is enlightening, as I’ve always considered myself as and been considered an ambitious person. The Defining Adjectives in that section I don’t think are accurate, but I also understand that I am in a bit of a “self discovery” phase right now as I search for a new career so I imagine current mental focus might have skewed those results. I’m In sales. And ambition is one of the traits that made me so successful so quickly. However, it is true that my intrinsic motivations for myself are very much self determined and generally untethered to “traditional” notions of “success.” I like to see that that my Organizational Traits are well balanced between structured attention and creative problem solving. That’s how I read it. I am unsurprised by my Self Control Traits and would like to see some of those improve. Interestingly enough though, my lack of composure and control I have found to be something that people often consider “trust building” expressions of myself, as they display authenticity and bulnerabiloty (two things that build credibility, when metered appropriately). All of the results are encouraging. |
Select up to three (3) Winslow traits in your Participant's Report that are contributing the most to your personal and/or professional success. | Pending |
Trait #1 | Alertness |
My Score | 10 |
Why? | My ability to analyze complex situations including people, problems and potential solutions provides me the ability to take a broad problem and provide a simple, considerate solution. |
Trait #2 | Self-confidence |
My Score | 10 |
Why? | This trait allows me to trust my own decision making. And as a sales person, this translates into offering appropriate recommendations to my clients that fit their needs and accommodate their desired outcomes. In my personal life, it allows me to make choices that are fulfilling to me, and protects me from spending time worrying about where those choices will take me. Full steam ahead…. |
Trait #3 | Creativity |
My Score | 10 |
Why? | Creativity is a tool for solving problems with the means available to me. And there are many means available. You just gotta know how to find them and how to use them. |
TRAITS THAT ARE PREVENTING MY PRODUCTIVE BEHAVIORS | |
Select up to three (3) Winslow traits in your Participant's Report that seem to be restraining you the most from achieving personal or professional success. | Pending |
Trait #1 | Coachability |
My Score | 4 |
Why? | This score is interesting to me. I’ve always been referred to as a coachable person, open to criticism, and one who is happy to be taught what he doesn’t know. If this is an accurate assessment of me, then I would love to know how I can improve because the above statements about me are true… which means that if I’m considered “good” at this already then improving upon it just means the sky is the limit. |
Trait #2 | Conscientious |
My Score | 2 |
Why? | When reading the description of what effect this might have on my career I am unsurprised. I am aware that my internal motivations for success might hinder my ability to develop my career towards the level of success that I am capable of. To provide context for why this might be an issue, I’m not entirely sure of what I want my career to be or even how much I actually want to be committed to its success. Money gives me access to the lifestyle I’d like to live, which is most often more focused on near term priorities than long term. Status and notoriety is of little concern to me. And I am aware that this might be a youthful shortcoming in foresight. But after having lost both my only truly desired profession (flying fixed aircraft) and my life in a motor vehicle accident, I tent to be grateful for today that I have and less concerned about the tomorrow that may not come. |
Trait #3 | Control |
My Score | 4 |
Why? | This impulsivity ties in with Conscientious. I can be a little to open with my words in social settings, sometimes forgetting that not everyone has the same sense of humor that I have. This can cause some confusion amongst my peers. In professional settings, I can make jokes at inappropriate times, but I do feel this trait is balanced out by my sociability. |
Describe your goals for the Profile Review and/or upcoming coaching experience. For example, you may describe personal relationships that you want to improve, behavioral changes you want to make, or discovering how to position yourself for career advancement. | I’d like to understand how I can better position myself for career satisfaction, and leverage my existing traits that will support my success instead of lean on those that require additional energy. Also, I just want to improve! |
