Describe the impact the Winslow Participant’s Report has had on you so far.

The report has me questioning whether or not I exhibit the behaviors that it described vs. the behaviors that I believe are true. I also wonder how others view my behaviors and how that fits with the assessment.

Why?

I feel that I am very systematic, planful, and well organized at work. I manage the Parts Dept and feel that my information is extremely accurate, detailed, and complete, as evidenced by my recent inventory check. I usually prefer perfection and I'm always looking for information that does not align and I believe that attention to detail makes me successful in this position. I believe in arriving early and not breaking plans. However, I wear many hats and need to be able to put one project down when there is a fire that I need to put out. All of this is important in my position.

Why?

I work mostly free from direct oversight, which requires me to be more self-reliant than others. I make decisions that affect my department and our organization without much input from others and I like this aspect of my job.

Why?

I am very content with my employer, supervisor and position. I may show that I am less ambitious than others, but I do not feel that way about my job. I am at the top of my department and there is no step above me which would entice me to change job roles. I am very content where I am professionally.

Why?

I do believe there needs to be a place for everything and everything needs to be in its place. I am able to handle this at work, but at home it's a different story, because I have a wife who does not believe in this. It stresses me out and I feel overwhelmed. This stress carries with me every day and I wish I could change it.

Why?

I consider myself responsible for the Parts Dept. and I take great pride in the work we do here. However, I am my harshest critic and often times allow mistakes to bother me more than they probably should.

Why?

I feel that I could be more self-confident. I believe that I can usually see both sides of any situation and I like to have all the facts before making decisions, therefore I often question myself. I'm kind of a perfectionist with a lot of anxiety.

Describe your goals for the Profile Review and/or upcoming coaching experience. For example, you may describe personal relationships that you want to improve, behavioral changes you want to make, or discovering how to position yourself for career advancement.

I would like to become more flexible and trusting. Hopefully I can learn to not be so hard on myself for mistakes.
